What the! ...Perusing some reports from the recent 2016 CES trade show in Las Vegas, I see products announced or released that include at least five vinyl turntables and one Super 8 camera from Kodak.

The turntables are;

• Audio-Technica AT-LP60-BT,
• Crosley Radio Snap,
• House of Marley Stir It Up Turntable,
• Sony PS-HX500 (which looks almost identical to my ancient Sansui) and  
• Technics SL1200-GA)

Was this the most retro or hipster CES to date?

Grange Hermitage or Printer Ink?

I bought a new magenta ink cartridge for my printer the other day. This time I read the packet.
It contains a mere 13ml of magenta ink. That works out to $2.15 per milliliter. At that rate, magenta ink is far more expensive than Penfolds Grange Hermitage. The ink is not even vintage!

Coffee

Why is it so difficult to get a good coffee at a fancy-pants coffee franchise?
I like my coffee. I take it white, or sometimes black.

I asked for a flat white at a coffee place last week, and I was asked for my name.
I want to drink the coffee, not get introduced to it!

But, apparently one cannot make a coffee until a name is entered into the computer system.
