No, it's not a pot of eyeshadow for Emo or Goth kids.Dead Black is a matte black paint used to minimise light reflection.
It was designed for use on darkroom interiors or on camera parts.
Many years ago, this particular pot was used to repair the anti-reflective coating inside a Linhof Technika.
This pot was manufactured by KODAK (Australasia PTY LTD) in Abbotsford Victoria. I'm not sure if anything is still manufactured there, or if the Kodak plant still exists.
